I was approached by Aqua Rugby Australia to create the branding for the start up sports event. I was later brought onboard as the Marketing Director for the business responsible for guiding a team of five part time employees who work across PR, social, marketing and design. Some of the tasks associated with the role was to manage relationships and key influencer’s to the brand. Plus, develop localised unique initiatives for the consumer and our sponsors. Along with leading the creative direction across print, digital, motion and apparel.
We had some huge hick-ups along the way regarding COVID and a one in 500 year storm. We managed to run the event whilst securing our broadcast deal with channel nine. Even though we only had one days play of Rugby due to huge swells and bad weather not allowing the pitch through heads.
